While most Merkur razors have a bright chrome-plated finish, the Merkur 22C has a mat chrome finish for the handle and head. This makes it appear duller, but it looks fantastic and more rustic.

The handle has a diamond pattern knurling which gives you the perfect grip for detail shaving. The whole razor is also incredibly easy to assemble and to swap blades. Simply unscrew the head which then comes apart into the top and bottom plates. With the head loose, you can insert a new blade, or clean the undersides. The head is made from a zinc alloy with the same mat chrome finish.
